Religious Education

Our Religious Studies course offers the opportunity to engage with a range of world views through a curriculum that is Ambitious and knowledge rich and enables learners to understand themselves within the complex multi-religious and multi-secular world we live in. We explore key questions and concepts through the lenses of the three academic disciplines - Theology, Philosophy and Social Sciences and this, combined with a focus on religious literacy, means that learners will have the ability to hold balanced and well-informed conversations about religion and worldviews.

Through offering a curriculum that is open, enquiring and exploratory, we are promoting mutual respect and acceptance amongst our learners. This allows for a safe space to explore personal beliefs, as well as the beliefs of others in our diverse community and as a result creates a sense of Belonging and reflects the British values.  From this, learners may also have a deeper understanding of their spiritual, moral, social and cultural development and how they have come to form their own Worldview. We aim to provide a varied and enriching curriculum where students not only gain powerful knowledge and skills, but can also feed their curiosity through experience, investigation, Creativity, cultural expression and enquiry.
